Speakers for Your Organization

There’s a vital government organization that your members probably know little about, but they should.  It’s the San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury.

The Civil Grand Jury investigates the efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and integrity of local government agencies – from the Board of Supervisors, county departments, and city governments, to school boards and special districts – and it issues reports on how they can and should improve.

Your members can find out about the San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury, what it does and how it functions, and how they can be civil grand jurors themselves, through a presentation from the San Mateo County Association of Grand Jurors.  Our presentation, packed with stories and behind the scenes anecdotes, is tailor made for service clubs and civic organizations.

Your members will marvel at the power it has, including the ability to subpoena elected officials, and they will thrill at the notion that they too can be part of improving local government entities, no matter how powerful and above investigation they appear to be.

We would be happy to schedule a presentation to your club, online or in-person.  If you’re interested in scheduling or just want to know more, contact John McDowell at johnmcd@hotmail.com or at 202-390-7555.

We’ve already spoken to many organizations in San Mateo county, let’s make yours the next one!
