Cop cams causing stir with San Mateo County Grand Jury Report. Community meetings to be held on automated license plate readers

Redwood City officials shared efforts to improve the automated license plate reader program in response to a grand jury report, but advocates are more concerned about what the changes will mean for future contracts. 

The city’s mandated response to the San Mateo County Grand Jury Report on ALPR programs at various law enforcement agencies throughout the county was discussed at the City Council meeting Monday.
